Combine all guitar forums into one...

The taxonomy of the guitar forums (probably the same for all the other forums) has become utterly meaningless now.

People post 'Where can I buy xxxx' in the How-To- section. Others ask for tabs in the Gear section. The rookie section seems a bit of a free-for-all. Nobody seems to understand what kind of topics should be in the People section.

It ends up that users have to go through all 4 forums to see topics of interest. I suggest we just combine them into one big 'guitar' forum. I'm sure some people will hate this suggestion, but the randomness of where people post their topics has taxed the mods too much - they can't keep up with the reclassifying I'm sure.

In my opinion, i think shifting the Buy/ Sell section to the top of the homepage of Soft would be better. Cause last time when i 1st visited soft, like 1½ year ago, There's so much section confusing me, then i lazy to get on finding the buy/ sell section...

So any new people, who's finding for the Buy/ Sell section, why not just shift the Buy/ Sell section to the top of the homepage of www.soft.com.sg?

Buy/sell section in soft is just secondary. this is ultimately a music forum not a "lobang" store. =)

I think the different sub-section is ideal if users make effort to post in the right forum. We will just have to encourage everyone to do that.

yeahh too many thread at the wrong places. some people think open mic is like the place to talk anything, honestly i thought that too initially. maybe put a small caption or something to label what goes into there.

I think having more moderators might be a good way to better monitor for lost topics.

Merging all the sub forums won't work and the end result would be chaotic and unfocused.
