Hi People of SOFT,
I went down to Davis Guitar to enquire about some seymour duncans pups. I asked the sales person whether chrome covers would affect the overall tone. I was told that it would reduce the output slightly. Really useful and informative help given by the sales person. However, other sources also told me that it might make the tone sound alittle thinner than without covers.
If it's possible, I'd like to get a few more opinions on this.
Could humbucker covers really affect a guitar's tone to a such an extent?
Even if they do, do they improve/deprove the tone in some ways?
What are the pros and cons of having humbucker covers compared to not having them at all?
Appreciate all the views and opinions I can get! Thanks!
regards,
Killbil
