hello all, im currently interested in small BUT loud! small battery powered amps .. so far this is in my list? anyone ahas anymore that is available for sale in Singapore? i just dunno what to get and mayb you guys can help me..

Unfortunately, smaller is inversely proportional to more power.

You can have a ton of distortion but if you don't have headroom it sounds crap.

But anyway, adding to the list, if you want to get your hands dirty, or if you want to purchase a 2nd hand one, there's the Beavis Audio Research - Noisy Cricket/Tube Cricket.

get the sound drive mini!! 55bucks. powered by a 9v battery/adapter. get it at standard value!

Noisy Cricket not bad.Loud for a battery operated amp.have try using car speaker n computer speaker with it.Maybe u can try to out the sell/buy thread.Saw it b4 there.Mine is built by myself.for more headroom need 12 vdc supply.just a recommendation .

If u have noy bought it yet. B4 u buy try out the cleans too. Most of these small amps will start breaking up at small vols, with little headroom. Sounds extremely tiny and boxy too.

definitely get the microcube or line6 spider if u can afford it.

if you expect to satisfy yourself for distortion on small amp, you'll be disappointed. Nothing can replace a good 12 inch speaker, four of it, will be better :mrgreen:

Please use the correct tools for the correct application. Small amps are created for bedroom practice. And anyone on their right mind, don't make their bedroom as concert hall.
