mind sharing ur prefered bass strings?anyone have any webbie that has information of equips of our favourite bass players?

Rotosound RB40 for me, one of the cheapest i can find la, strings go dead after awhile, no point getting expensive ones, i bought mine at Davis for $24

rotosound yes.. find it especially nice on fenders to get that fender vibe..

and warwick steel strings.. nothing else that growls as much

ernie ball slinky. nice and bright. doesn't go completely dead on me when it dies.

the cheap rotosounds feel like sandpaper to me... way too unfinished.

DR Hi-Beams .45s
Thomastik-Infelds

And whatever stock strings came on my BB414... that stuff is just awesome!

..

thomastik infeld powerbass and jazz flats. but they are expensive.

powerbass: my last set lasted me over 1 1/2 years before buying a new set last week. kept dipping them in methylated spirit. hurhur

jazz flats: have a used set from 2004, but waiting for that P bass to slap on to

I also like DRs.

rotosound and dr hibeams for me.Never tried thomastik infield before.Where can i get them btw?How about fretless bass strings.Any recommendations for the flatwounds? Thanks vmuch

Rotosound Trubass Tapewounds on my Godin
Black Diamond Flats on my Precision
TI Jazz Flats on my Danelectro
DR Loriders on my Spector NS2

I've just tried the Curt Mangon strings from Guitar 77 and guess what. I find its perfect especially for slapping. I use a G&L L2k and its got a nice bright and clear string sound to it. They are selling it at an 19 bucks only man! Don't think its permanent though...
