Guys i'm on a budget, and i'm looking for a cheap china.
What should i get, a 16" wuhan or paiste Pst 3 18" china...
please don't tell me to not get both and get something better.
As my budget only allows me this much.
Anyone have sound clips of the wuhan?

i heard they're quite good, but i haven't gotten the oppertunity to actually hear one.
me also.. my last visit to the shop which sells Wuhan, the guy do approach me to buy Wuhan.. but i was like...."Wuhan??? wtf??" hehehe.... but im not looking for cymbals at that time...

its in KL. near Puduraya and Petaling Street.
It is Woh Fatt.. its an very old shop. things there cramped with guitars, amps and such.. And they are the sole distributor of Gibson USA and Epiphone guitars.

i can't find anyone bringing in... i saw this ad in luthermusic. so i might buy it. he only has the 16" ... i want the 18" if possible, but can't find.

may not be true...may be clangy-er too

a)the thing with Wuhans is, they're famous for having bad quality control...some of their cymbals may sound good, while others abit off.So its best if you ty it out...

b)Wuhan chinas.U should get the 1s with the proper stamp, not the lion dance 1s. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Wuhan-China-Cymbal?sku=442700

Oh ya...they can be friggin loud. What i love about them is,ithas different tonal projections at different volumes...hoho.

I have the 18" and 12".Bought online.Pure pot luck.

i didnt test the sound. i find my 12" abit too clangy....but works well in a loud environment like a jimming studio

i think the shipping itself was around 50 - 70...depending on the size/weight of ur product

How does a true china sound like when played on its own is highly subjective... it is all about personal preference. But all chinas sound great in loud music... 8)

so, it comes back to the main question...
Pst 3 or wuhan...
personally i would want the pst 3, but most people say that its a lousy entry level cymbal.
Whats your take on it.

True drum hobbyist. Sound preference is subjective.

Id say wuhan.

But you should get to try both if possible. Then again it doesnt matter what we suggest, coz in the end u'r using oyur moeny and it depends whether u like it or not. :)
