A Tribute To Vivian Nonis
Venue: Singapore Arts Museum
Date: 12th August 2007
Time: 3.30pm - 5.30pm
Come Celebrate 40 years of Jazz guitar with Singapore's own maestro Vivian
Nonis! Pioneer of the 60's with a career that spans all over Asia.
Vivian started as a clarinet player and later went on to the guitar. He has
since then, never looked back. Devoting the better part of his life towards
perfecting his skills on the guitar, jazz naturally became his inspiration.
Through jazz, Vivian was able transform his thoughts and zest for all kinds
of music. A true musician whose versatility spans many genres, he has seen
it all. Be it, "kor dai", country & western, big band ensembles, combos, pop
and even Rock, Vivian has "Been There, Done That"
Apart from performing, Vivian believes in sharing his music with others.
This he has done, and has over the decades taught many of our present day top jazzes.
His commitment towards imparting his skill is still relevant
even till today. He now spend time sharing with his "kakis" at the St. John
