M mamemo New member Feb 9, 2006 #4 efx loop and cd input = flat response, and isnt coloured by the preamps(to some extent) so if i have an amp modeller or something, i'd plug it into those rather than the amp's guitar input

fretless6 New member Feb 9, 2006 #7 It's not going to be flat. One of the components of a guitar amp that adds the most color is the speaker/cabinet. Try playing a CD through a guitar amp's CD input and judge using ur own ears
