Cable question - urgent!

I'm trying to connect the 2 RCA cables to cheap ass computer speakers. So I got a convertor which goes like this 2RCA Male to 1/8" female. The 1/8" female is for the computer speakers to plug into.
But I can't hear any sound... I tested the speakers themselves they are okay. The cable convertor I got is working okay too.
The setup is like this

Audiophile 2 RCA -> convertor to 1/8" female -> computer speakers

i once troubleshoot a midi system for a whole day just to find out that the "IN" cable is supposed to go to the "IN" of my keyboard. I was assuming all the while that the "IN" cable means going INTO the computer therefore should be from the OUT of my keyboard!!!

Haha is ok to be a cock...everyone make mistake just dont make the same mistake will do..(I did that before also haha) i am sure u will remember it by heart now..isan't it a good news?
