buying ibanez from NON-official distributors

Hi, i was searching the ibanez official website and realise that Swee Lee is the sole authorised dealer and distributer of ibanez guitar. However there are other shops which sells ibanez guitars as well, sometimes with a lower price. Is there any difference?

Maybe these shops got their supply of Ibanez guitars from Swee Lee too. No worry on the lower prices - shops can mark them down to draw customers. Go try them, remember to ask for warranty too if you are buying new.

Swee lee give a year warranty on electronics parts. You can get Ibanez at All Music at Peninsula too but not all models. Go check it out.

lol all music was where i saw the ibanez with a lower price. Do they offer waranty as well?

I suspect that other shops might be bringing in Ibanezs indefinitely. They might take stock from Swee Lee, so they will not always be having Ibanez guitars in stock.

Yamaha Tampines Mall have a few Ibanez from the RG series (those that have fancy decals and pictures on the body) if you live near that area.

actually, warrenty for electronics on the guitars shouldnt be that big an issue. see if you are paying a fair bit lesser for a brand new guitar but no warrenty is included, you can actually use that money you saved on not having a warrenty to pay for the spoilt parts ( if there are any at all ).

we all know that electronics will spoil after some time. changing them aint really make much a difference in my opinion.

Yup agreed. In fact the electronics dun cost much and are easy to replace so dun worry about the warranty.

and also, chances are, the electronic will get replaced way before they are spoilt anyway (and at the same time, will break the warranty) You will change pickup lah, install push pull pot lah, mini switch lah, custom rewiring lah, change to orange drop cap lah :mrgreen:
