Buying from ishibashi.

OK guys, I saw a couple of guitars over at ishibashi and wanna get my hands on a couple of them - JG66-85/3TS & TL-STD /BLD.

Email them about both the guitar and the reply was solid but having trouble with the JG66-85/3TS as they says that "In the back, the pannel is missing". Email them back and ask them is it the neck plate but they say "I believe there is a something like a slice of plastic in the back of gutar.We say "pannel" here".

Does fender jaguar has a back panel like strats or are they implying a totally different things? Kinda confuse.

I believe they are referring to the back plate of the guitar. The one which either covers the electronics and potentiometers or the one which covers the tremolo bridge springs.

What do you base this belief on? Generally stuff in Japan is more expensive than Singapore. Some items can be obtained cheaper but mostly not, of course this depends on who you shop with here too. I have bought stuff from them in the past only because it was not available here.

I can attest to the cheaper prices form Ishibashi, my Fender CIJ tele costs $300 cheaper than the price at a local shop and I used the savings on new pickups.

Local dealers have to mark-up the prices for better profits but they offer the opportunity to try-out the guitars as well as warranty.

However Ishibashi would no longer ship Fender CIJ guitars overseas, based on my last inquiry with them in Jun 08.

Ahhh finally got things resolved. There is no back panel or pannel as they put it :mrgreen:. Just a mistake on their part.

LadyInTears sorry man, don't mind you tompang cos the delivery cost will be lower per item if gets more but I'm paying via card and as they put it - "Once we charged your credit card payment,it will take one month drawing money from your account. We don't know what exactly the currency rate will be at that time."

So with the fluctuating of world currencies in these time, not too sure what's the actual cost will be in a mth time .

Anyway I'm getting stuff from their U-BOX :mrgreen:
