Buy a new guitar, or upgrade old one =/?

hmm ok maybe you wanna state your preference of guitars and maybe the type of music youre more inclined to play so other forummers can give you some suggestions..

I dun really have a strong preference for any guitar. I like strats, LP, Teles, 335s >.< . I dun like bad sounding guitars (who does? XP)

I play alt rock, rock, Jpop, jRock. Abit of Blues (although i havent even learnt a whole song yet >.< yeap o and tinny tiny bit of metal (enter sandman anyone? XDD)

From the way things are going i'll probably end up upgrading AND buying a new guitar T-T

that's good to know; having a variety in hand is always good 8-)

the Rally/ SMASH guitars are value-for-money instruments- great workmanship & tone despite being in the entry-level offering:

RALLY GL-300

O let me say thanks again....i wouldn't have found out bout these guitars if not for ya XDD. Right now seriously looking at getting the modded rally guitars......unless i decided to get an epiphone. shall test both and see the diff.

Plan right now is to get both (fix and a new guitar XDD)

Wondering any recomendations for pick ups? My G210 is a S-S-H. o i have to buy the pickups individually? or they they have a S-S-H set?

not aware of any SSH package for pickup sales... if you can get some used pickups, it's also worth the consideration instead of buying new, the savings help 8-)

the Rally GL-300 sports a very decent set of pickups, i was taken aback by what they have to offer tone-wise because they would put some designer/ more renowned brand name units to shame- all for less than $400...

the ones with TESLAS on board sound different, not better. it's a matter of personal appeal- if you like what you hear, you'd go with it.

to me the default Rally humbuckers already possess the '59/ PAF-type voicings to it, which is rather incredible with a reputable amp. the TESLAS have more defined frequency focus, depending on the model.
