Burny Guitars

Are the burny´s sound good, compared to other similar priced brands such as epi etc. Also is the sustainer built-in the pickups? Or can i change both pups without affecting the sustainer. Thanks.

The Burny blows away most LP copies and even some of the original Gibsons for feel, playablity and that smooth humbucker tone. I don´t think much of the Sustainer circuit, but if you want to know more about it, check out the Fernandes site as it explains it in more detail.

cheers,

mark.

the ones luther have for sale now are made in China.

keep a lookout on ebay for older Japanese made ones.

a while ago burny was still offering the RLG-90 model, which is their high end lp copy. those can only be found in Japan and i think they are discontinued.

other alternatives are Edwards by ESP and Tokai.

davis did have quite a few Edwards lp..i´m not sure if they would import more.

i myself am looking for an Edwards badly. they come stock with seymour duncan pups and have medium long neck tenon. definitely great bang for the buck.

as for Tokai, there´s a Japanese online store that sells them http://www.cyborg.ne.jp/~universe/unihome.html

and a seller on ebay called seikosuru2003.

hope that helped..

Hi guys thanks for the input. I was under the false impression that burny was MIJ. Not that I have anything against China made guitar, but it does affect the resale price greatly. I´m looking for a good LP copy, preferably MIJ as the workmanship is really immaculate. I´ll check on ebay.
