Burning Qns!! How to get gigs as a pianist to play in pubs/weddings?

Hi,

I'm just your average pianist out on the street.
How do pianists normally get themselves gigs, are there any special places
to contact or what?

Burning down the house...

I've never seen a pianist on the streets...I've seen them in Europe, I saw a film of a US pianist at a blues festival, I saw a drummer in the Paris Metro, I've never seen a pianist with a piano on any streets and I've been walking a lot.

the next best thing is to play accordion
