So....
My old Sx jazz bass has a broken truss rod and the neck has warped.Tons of fret buzz. The action is set up very high(by me) to minimize fret buzz...theres like a 1.5 cm between the 13th fret of the e string to the fretboard.Press the e string on the 4th fret and i'll get a buzz already. If i send it for set-up,will they fix the truss rod as well?Wheres the cheapest place to get truss rods fixed or set-up?

Ps. Wheres the cheapest place to get Jazz bass pickguard and how much. Dont tell me to go ask straight from the horse's mouth, cos most guitar shops dont reply my email .

Peace out

Well if you send it for set-up, there will a basic bench fee for the setup(normal setup without anything extra), however if you require them to do something extra for you, it will cost even more.

How do you know that the trust rod's broken?

take to a shop in peninsula, I recommend TYMC. and ask them to do a quote on how much the repairs will be. if truss rod is really broken, better buy a new bass. how cheap did you buy SX bass? usually broken truss rod on a cheap bass means good bye bass hehe. coz the repair costs is just not worth it.

Bad spot of bad luck. If your neck is a bolt-on, it is easier and probably cheaper to replace but if it's a set neck your'e better off using that as firewood. Sorry but the costs to repair it would be huge. :(
