Bridges: are they rust-proofed?

Got a shock of my life when i realized the one of the two large height adjuster of my Gibraltar III bridge has like rough patches, somewhat brownish and cannot be removed with metal polish. The other one is still nice and shiny.

Are bridges that are silver chromed only? Or are they not supposed to rust that badly.. it's only been a year man!

Can this be bought somewhere in singapore? as in just the two side screws?

Ibanez SZ too right? Same here with my SZ320MH....

I just left it as it is, figured it wouldn't make a difference since my guitar is beat up enough already

Well, your bridge has started to rust.... so... yes, bridges are NOT rust proof.

You may, put a thin layer of lacquer over if you wish to help prevent rusting.

dude if it isn't the whole bridge, just the height adjuster, you could just gently sand off the rust. gently yea. then polish it a bit and yea apply a thin layer of laquer. dont do all this while its still on the guitar though. take it apart first.

alternatively, you could just pass it to me. we gota jam sometime dude! its been awhile!
