Bridge Piezo Pickups for Electric Guitars

hi, can someone please tell me more about Piezo Bridge pickups? like what their actually purpose to serve is? and where one can get one installed in singapore.... thanks all!

ah - ya should've gone for the first SOFT gathering... 8)

piezos pick up the vibrations on ur strings and converts them to electric signals. they're there to simulate acoustic sounds - electro-acoustic pickups in short if you like.

i believe Timothy Tan (www.LivingStringsGuitars.com) carries the Shadow brand which offers piezos on a number of bridge systems.

Check out Fishman and Ghost piezo systems too, they're pretty pricy though.
