Breed Neck plus Mo Joe/JB Bridge?

Any comments? Guitar is a mahogony bodied ibanez s series. Do you think either the Mo Joe or the JB would go well my installed breed neck. Im looking for something with good harmonic overtones, solid mids, and bass that does not exceed the treble.

you want to have " bass that does not exceed the treble" ?

Interesting.

Go for another Breed neck. Its usable in bridge - think of PAF Pro but with solid bass (not overwhelming) and a very good bitey tone. Very dynamic. Crunchy.

And yes, I did that in my Saber.

Just note, if you wanna use anything else, the breed neck is fat and bassy in the neck. Its very weird you want the opposite in the bridge but oh well.

Anyway, check him out - www.has-sound.com I've been thru about what, 12 dimarzios and Stan's pups wipe them all off.

Evo & Mo'Joe?

Get ceremics and perhaps the Viper if you wish it to be a little hotter - would match the Breed neck well. The Scorpion, the alnico counterpart, would match even better since it would be smoother.

Or go a step down in output for the Helix.

Thats hard to say..

I had DImarzio Evo neck & Evo 2 in my guitar before I installed a HAS Sound viper in bridge.

The viper trashed the Evo2 to infinity and beyond. It never crossed my mind to revert back to the Evo2.

For me, the Viper is just beyond the Evo2 in terms of feel especially FEEL. The Evo2, notes just scream out and... yeah, they just scream out. With the Viper you can back off when you want to. You can dig in and it will scream.

wah some one too "masterbuilt" for EVOS har???

haha personally i never try before la.. ive heard em in action live.. and they kinda like melt your face off..

if you forwn upon excessive treble, the JB should be struck of your list. however, if you think you can add post-pickup bottom end in your output, the JB in a mahogany body has one of the most commanding clarity/ girth. have it in my RGA121 here:

for my S540, i have the Invader in the bridge:

X2Ns? haha, my friends cant get good dynamics from them for some reason. lol. and btw i dont frown on too much treble. i frown on too little treble. except in the case of my other guitarist. he has to lower his treble on all his distortions, its ear piercing, and if that aint bad enough he uses basswood, an X2N, and holds his WD7 down while playing rhythm at times.

Eh, the X2N is underrated k... ho ho ho... I played "Wonderful Tonight" with it. Of course, split mode... no way you can do it in series. Hehehe.

Dude.

Frankly, I find the Breed neck in the Saber muddy. Play the bass strings and you find it lacks definately. In a basswood body guitar, its FAB but i the Saber, no...
You can, if you want to, get the Breed neck in bridge and use the PAF Joe in neck. You will get a more crunchy, rock n roll overall vibe with tremendous dynamics and bite.

in that case, the JB is recommended. i love this pickup but it doesn't work too well in selected floating-bridge equipped guitars. it's my personal preference because i'm the type who likes midrange emphasis & would turn the treble way down...

if i put my breed neck in the bridge and a paf joe in the neck, how will the breed compare to say a mo joe? in a mahogony body? since the breed is a bit more bassy, and how will treble be like? and for the JB, i actually like it, but im a bit unsure of the harmonics.

I dunno abt the Mo Joe but I put the Breed neck in bridge in my Saber before.

No mud.

Good bass - not overbearing but its there.

Very biting tone - more rock n roll-ish

Little compression, surprisingly. Digging in gets VERY loud. Scary.
