brand new Ibanez JEM 7VWH for 3550... is it really true?

Hi guys,

today I went to the guitar shop(the one also selling sports items) opposite the Swee Lee show room at Bras Basah, and found a JEM 7vwh selling it for S$3558. I couldn't believe it because Swee Lee is selling at 5k plus. And it makes me wonder if the guitar is an authentic one or not... I think that way because the shop also has those TGM guitar with similar Ibanez designs. dare not ask the owner that way, 'cause i might offend him.

the shop also has JS1200 red color for 2k plus and PGM non-floyd-rose model for 2k plus... and many other items that are going way cheaper than what swee lee is selling.

so, if any of the softies reading this message, please reply me. are those guitars authenic ones? I am looking for a new JEM 7VWH for purchase and the price 3558 is very tempting to me. I just afraid it is too good to be true...

I think the shop you are referring to is Ranking Sports. Don't worry. They sell genuine stuffs. Most of their stuffs are cheaper than Swee Lee.
 
but ranking sells strings more expensive than swee lee :p oh and yea, i dont really like that uncle. always following me. lol
 
been following jems for a long time.

i've been looking at one myself for a long time. waiting for namm next year to see if ibanez releases any new colors. white is kinda boring, plus i don't like gold hardware.

sweelee is sweelee lor. the price they give is the list price(who sells at list sia), they MAY give a 25% off(normal day discount), which will bring it down quite a bit.call or ask them...

you can get it online for around 3.45k inc shipping...
 
All the Ibanez (those that has Ibanez on the headstock, not TGM) are real. The people there are quite friendly actually... at least more than a lot of the guitarshops around the place.
 
You JEM freaks might want to check out that 77VWH at Guitar Connection which comes with a Fernandes factory approved (japanese dealer fitted) sustainer... That one is killer... Weighs a ton though...
 
Swee lee offered me 3.5k for a jem7vwh, list price on the wall was 5350 though.

Managed to get mine for 3.5k w/o gst though.

Agreed. The uncle there (the younger one, perhaps around 40-50 years old) is very accommodating and recommends me models to try even when I tell him I'm not buying anything yet. Only problem is, I always feel like buying something, otherwise I feel unappreciative. Too friendly! :mrgreen:

SL moved out for Yamaha to move in? Where'd you get that idea? SL was on a lower floor in PS and Yamaha was always on the upper floors, from what I remembered. Which is some time back.
