Boss Rc3 tone sucking problem.

Hi all,

Need a little help on this. I've recently purchased this unit and everything was fantastic until i realized something is wrong with my tone. It's not long lively as it should be. After all troubleshooting, i realized my tone deteriorate the moment i put the rc3 back into the chain. Did i do something wrong(settings etc) or is it just the design flaw?

My chain goes like this:
Guitar -> Amp -> Efx send -> Rc3 -> Efx return

Is your fx loop buffered? Could be an impedance mismatch problem.

My fx loop is buffered and it's set to the max.
I've tried plugging in some of my other modulation pedals in to verify.
evh phase 90 sucked a very slight amount of tone, very acceptable.
flashback can't hear a single difference from my average ears.

Sorry to suggest the obvious, but did you also try the opposite and put the RC-3 before the amp instead of in the loop?

in that case i cannot record sound coming from my different channels.
If i want a record a crunch sound from channel2, later on practice over with channel 3, i'll need it after my drive channels.

However, i'll go try and see if putting it out of the efx loop helps
