I like to know whats the big different between a MIJ and MIT Boss pedal beside the country.
Does both sound different?

actually it depends. many claim that mij is better cos it uses a diff chip from the mits. however, its really up to you cos for me i cant really tell the diff between most of them. well, the price is another thing. haha. =)

for the case of SD 1..i prefer the MIT, much open tonal...for me, i supposed the newer the technology the better...some matters about this mit or mij thing is just a myth

Hmm, i personally feel that one good example for the difference between MIT and MIJ would be the DS-1. Comparing the 2, the MIJ really shows (to me ) much more tonal properties compared to the MIT. Its, crunchier and has much more impact. It doesn't sound as thin as compared to the MIT. But in terms of modulations, i really don't bother if its MIJ or MIT, some claim the MIJ chips are more warm sounding, more natural sounding etc etc...but in my opinion the difference is really slight and in some cases the MITs would sound better.
Well just my 2cents =]
Cheerrrss.

MIJ vs MIT for Boss pedals only matter for a select few pedals.

Matter = if you are concerned with how it affects your playing, whether in the bedroom or live.

The old choruses are something. The old, silver screw DS-1 is something. The MIJ DD-2/3 are something.

They say ignorance is bliss, if you play with your MIT gear and you are pleased, sure, carry on, but if you ever get the chance to play them side by side, an MIJ and MIT, do it. You never know if you are missing out on something that would make your practice time sweeter (which in turn, affects live performance no?) or if... its just hype.
