Boss FS-6 Footswtich Help!

Hey Soft-ies!

So,today i just bought a Boss FS-6 Footswitch from mystery83.

Anw,
i used the "Latch" Func.

but the thing that im curious about, is, why do i need to press 2 times on the pedal just to change from clean to lead?

why couldn't i just press 1 time to it change channel. (Like normal dist. pedal)

could someone help me?

as i miss place the manual. sry
