Blueridge BR-160 using a fine, solid Sitka spruce top with traditional herringbone rosette and purfling. Handcarved parabolic top braces in authentic, PreWar, forward-X position. Bone nut and saddle. Rosewood peghead overlay with M.O.P. and abalone inlays. Dreadnaught style.
Select, solid East Indian rosewood back, sides bridge and fingerboard with PreWar "split diamond" abalone snowflake markers.Delicate wood marquetry backstrip and white body binding. Nickel-plated tuners.
I've ditch the Bleached bone saddle and upgraded it with a New FMI Saddle and the bridge pin holes were slotted 45 degree to give to more torque and allow more string pressure to excite the bridge transferring more energy to the bridge plate translating to a more responsive sound guitar.
The Blueridge are made in china but they have very good QC in terms of the quality...fit and finish..but the best part is ..everyone that plays a Blueridge if its setup rightly is pretty amazed at the tonal qualities of it.
They are indeed the Martin Knockoffs if you dont have a lot of money to spend ...
