Blower switch mod to guitar?

Hi all, i did a quick search on soft and realized there isn't much talk on the blower switch.

For those who have no idea what the blower switch does, excerpt from suhr website:
"a push-button "Blower" switch which allows you to go to a full-on bridge humbucker sound with a simple push of the button from whatever volume, tone, 5-way setting you're at"

I like the idea of the blower switch as found on the Guthrie Govan Suhr and on Tom Andersons but have no intention of investing in a new guitar anytime soon.

Was wondering if there's any local tech that have experience with this?

Rather gimmicky description for what is essentially a DPDT switch that switches between the humbucker directly connected to the output jack and the normal electronics.

Eh yea, that's what it is and the description is pretty straight forward in describing what it does exactly... which part is gimmicky?
