black metal music.

I was against such music cos the growling simply wasn't my cup of tea, BUT, some of these bands create the best rhythms and melodies, and after a while i got used to ignoring the singing and focus on the actual tune itself. It's cool, gets you pumped up.

I find it strange that some of the bands you guys mention i wouldn't not even consider black metal? For example i dun consider Cradle of Filth black metal....a bit too much on the gothic n melodic death side. Children of Bodon too.....i think more like melodic death with a touch of neo-classical. Any one else here categorise some of these bands differently? :?:

PS: Hoobastank is SO black! \m/

I think its not just the type of music but the content of the lyrics too (in defining black metal). Most black or death metal music glorifies SATAN. Cradle of Filth is more paganistic than satanic, I think (from what I can recall of the lyrics).

then what?! Atomic Kitten also black metal ah?!?! HAH?!?!?!?!?! lol!! :p I christian, i wont glorify satan for anything, n he is not cool, dunno why some ppl so fanatical about it.

its amazing how come no one mention Empiety....haha our local boys...well used to be our local boy(s)...now only left boy. hehe

well... i respect all music genres for their different styles. so i hope you guys don't mind avoid making fun of the music. it is unpleasant. well unless it really is evidently bad, and supposed that you some analytical statement to share with us. probably some music's lyrics may be a little out of control and you don't really like it, well do talk among your circles who probably are able to accept your ideas. people are people. we are humans with different perception of thinking. some of you may think it is funny to make some comments that will make people laugh. i won't deny that laughter is a good medicine. but to some other people, it triggers them to fight back because that's the music they are into and they are so engrossed to the genre that anyone has anything to say to provoke them, they will point a shotgun at your head. bulls eye.

sooooooooo........ be nice when you comment yah. then everyone's happy! :)

have a pleasant stay in soft.com peeps.

yeah one of those boys mentioned that metal SHOULD be the only acceptable music. and he scrutinized every other genres. i was not pleased to hear that.

hell yeahhh... my dying bride one of the good bands i've heard. but it's more of doom metal ain't it?

try Venom and Mayhem......they are good enuff.if u want some melodic add to the substance of black try playing Dimmu Borgir,Tristania or Borknagar.....Children of bodom Black metal?....they are more to melodic death metal too me....

oh hello headwan my fellow Meshuggah freak muahahah

anyway some good black metal bands i can recommend are Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Anorexia Nervosa, Immortal, Satyricon and theres this Israeli black metal band called Melechesh which is pretty good too

If you like those straight out thrashy black metal bands then check out Mayhem or Venom. If u like atmospheric, melodic stuff check out Dimmu Borgir or the earlier Emperor albums. If you like black metal with a more avant garde touch, try the promethius album by Emperor, in my opinion thats one of the most solid black metal albums around. Satyricon has that speedy and powerful sound but they do sound quite cheesy sometimes but somehow they have a very strong fanbase. Anorexia Nervosa in my opinion is one of the bands which truly define black metal at its most extreme yet melodic best. Really good songs to get high to.

yeah thats all i can think about black metal now...
