Black Metal bands late 90's and 2000 era

anyone into black metal bands which started around late 90's or 2000 era.. examples : sargeist, satanic warmaster, behexen, urgehal and etc.. let's have a pro-discussion and hear the views from those who listen and support the black metal underground music.. cheers!

yes, i listen to those, adding to the list: Sanguis, Aeba, Aguynguerran, Ravencult, Krypt, etc. too many to list here.

i only have one objective listening to them- they have capable players in the band & the music is appealing (to me).

Sanguis and Ravenkult, the rawness and the feeling of their music are really appealing for underground music.. the only album i listened from sanguis was Chaosgate Guardians.. the vocals stood out like hell.. epic! haha.. ravencult their songs may be quite draggy but i like their guitar riffs at time.. it looks like Aguynguerran is very infuenced by enthroned.. great! are you refering to krypt from norway which is formed by the current bassist of Tsjuder,Nag?

hmm,btw.. do you have msn?

to me,what's important about the bands that i listen to are their songs which capture my ears.. be it raw, be it melodic, be it classical.. as long i love listening to their music, i'm happy with myself.. lol.. i dont really care much about the politics or rumors of the band..

my chance in the sun once again..............the mighty Conqueror followed by the even more almighty Revenge!!!!

if u dunno what Superion warblackgrind is pls go listen to them, u will get rolled over and crushed by their dominant mastery and victory over the weak!!!! i have never heard such brutaaalblack madness in my entire life i swear.......

I find very little reward in discovering 'raw', 'true' or 'kvlt' black metal bands. some of the most talented guitar players/ composers/ musicians are shrouding themselves behind the BM facade- their discovery is my primary interest.

I get sick of the guitar hero worship out there so i'm resorting to the heretical geniuses to trigger new dimensions in my playing. it's rather difficult finding like minds in appreciating this music genre, I often get roped into superficial/ juvenile discussions.

BM as music is more than just playing/musicianship (though i daresay one must actually b able to play to do BM reasonably well)..........its a whole sonic aesthetic and feel........ and even then there are so many sub-kinds, from the raw punkish to avant-experimental to brutal/technical to pure insane noise.............and hahaha i just happen to adore most the mad stuff!!!

muahahaha... war cult supremacy.. Conqueror never fail to dominate even though they have disbanded and J.Read formed Revenge with Angelcorpse Pete Helmkamp.. Ryan Forster continued his reign wih Blasphemy.. FluxUs, have you check out the latest release of Revenge - Infiltration.Downfall.Death? check out track no.4 By Force (The Only Option). one of my top kvlt songs list.. keep the banner of hate and underground spirit burning!

great.. well not everyone have the same ideology, view of concept or music interests.. its just how we relate ourselves with the same bands or music we listen to.. guitar heroes.. rarely in the bm underground bands.. but a common sight in big bands out there.. too much guitar hero worshipping is not a good thing either.. lol

Eh, is Destroyer 666 considered as one of them? They were founded in 1994. :D

one of the few top black/death/thrash band from australia that comes from the veins of Bestial Warlust, Bestial Mockery and Blasphemy.. i prefer the Unchain the wolves and Cold Steel... For an Iron Age albums.. the pheonix rising,i still havent got it in my head.. so its still not one of the best album from them.. lol.. australia got good bands such as Nocturnal Graves, Denouncement Pyre, Destruktor and Abominator.. the old legend are always bestial warlust.. gospel of the horns are good but its a waste that they disbanded again..

i listen to black metal since i was 8 years old..
first 2 bm band was Venom and Mayhem
then later as a teen till now
black metal is my music

there are plenty in BM, they just don't propel themselves to be such individuals preferring instead to commit in a band context. if one plays well, regardless of the music genre, everyone else will listen.

haha.. for that one is true.. well, people will rarely listen to bands who cant play music even if they tried so hard.. so its a normal thing to listen to bands that you think is nice to your ears.. haha..
