youtube has TONS of them.

it helped me.

books, magazines, online lessons. but still an experienced/capable friend helps to spot your mistakes.

I am doing all the above lol. Learn from the many free guitar lessons from websites like www.justinguitar.com and also get a teacher to guide every alternate week. Most important is practice though. And get tips from the many posting here!

Loads of elbow grease.

Learning stuff is good and all that.

But without the effort put in, it would be for nothing....

But still, you should always enjoy yourself when you're playing guitar!

I mean, isn't that the reason why you're playing in the first place?
