Best place to jam with DA5!

Its midnight, i often love to play guitar during midnight but i cant play even the softest volume in my house cause im living in a HDB. So i got myself a DA5 then i brought it down and kept walking till i saw a nice place to blast the DA5! MRT station. Dont tell me bout using headphones! I hate it using headphone to play guitar

Place: Yew Tee MRT (The MRT station is huge so the gates only were lock near the ticketing machine!)

WHY: A distance from those HDB so i can turn the volume till quite high! And its like my own stage.

Benifits: Natural reverb and FREE performance for crowd. Btw got people come compliment me sia even aunty and some others maybe im being considerate for not blasting in HDB or maybe i can play quite ok and ofcourse Courage. Just i was about to go got 1 guitarist that stay nearby come talk to me and asked me "u not scared of police?". I also not blasting neigbourhood, distubing people or basking, the most i just turn down abit. I felt that maybe some local guitarist too scared of many stuff so kept them from growing. =)

Take video of me playing guitar u mean? haha! Btw Im not playing in the inner part where they pull down the shuttle, around the ticketing machine. Its still in the mrt station(if u stay at yew tee u will realise that the outter part is like a tunnel when the shuttle is pull down). The best part is there were a night shift train servicing crew in the control station, they come say hi sia and stood there listening to the music. crap

if there's a chance i would use a video cam to record my jam at the mrt station. =D

Oh yea if any peeps cant sleep during the night, do msg me to jam with some portable amp

carpark can! but my mrt is like a long tunnel. If you see from the top its like the side walk to go in that part, much better reverb. Carpark can but i tell u, cant turn on loud cause still near HDB house. So loud that if you try carpark + DA5 high volume least afew blocks will hear till the sound. DA5 blast damn loud even at 1/4 of the volume. I use full 5watt.

U know, instead of playing at the station, maybe u can jam at the park, on top of the hill. if uve been there b4, theres this huge staircase leading all the way up den u can shred at the top there, mojo sia.

Seriously guys just find a nice spot to jam and the best thing is you can make a great video out of this kind of locations. Makes you look ruggard.

Btw good wad since its a underground carpark, maybe you get better effects and also can do a video =)

heh, my house there feel like silent hill.

threadstarter good for you. i play at night at home and i keep my volume real low, no kick. come to think of it can try playing at industrial estate cos these places are abandoned, but you may attract guard dogs and maybe some other "ahem" things.. machian silent hill or resident evil

Wow me too! Although I am able to play guitar at home through the night with no one complaining, I always wanted to look for a huge open space one day and play with a full band set up. Maybe an open field or a rooftop or something. Must be real fun feeling like you are playing out to the world. Heh.

Tampines got some big fields, near the library/mosque there.. When u take 168 u can see the fields. Im sure u can blast watever amp there and not caues disturbane.

But must bring your own chair!

anyone from jurong?i think the canal at jurong is a nice place to play.industrial estates are freaking scary at night.you will never know who would be your audience to your music.

DA5 run on 6C batteries, ac power. Last for 18-25hours. Nice portable amp and fx, maybe compare to some cheap practice amps and some others.

Or you want a better sound get DA10, 2 speakers and have amps cab also. If you dont mind lugging a big amp around for a better tone, then that would do fine or better. But DA5 1/4 volume so bloody LOUD alrdy, and tone wise its really good! Anyone using a DA10, please come and share some info bout it =)

For home amp I feel any range within 1k and below still acceptable, any higher seems weird cause our room can only goes up to a certain limit even if we sound-proof the entire room. Only can play in the day sommore. Maybe more company should come out with better portable amps. Can lug around and let yourself out totally, just need a nice spot!

So guys now you take note of placese when your heading somewhere. You will realise alot of places even near your place is able to have a FREE jam and a nice natural reverb plus you can blast!
