Beginner in electric guitar, need tips ^_^

Heya guys, I am a beginner in the elecytric guitar scene, I am kinda looking for advice as to what guitar to get and how to start off with the guitar.

For the guitar wise, I am kinda looking for something closer to what produces rock sounds like those in Jap rock. And busget would be around SGD 500 any suggestions?

Do you have any suggestions as to where to start of in terms of learning how to play around with the electric guitar?

unless you mean electric bass guitar, in which case the above still stands... go search, there's several thread here on that topic already..
