Beginner guitar pack

Like some have mentioned, there are really good China-made guitars. But the thing about China-made guitars, their quality control is inconsistent (some pieces are excellently made, some are poorly made) so yeah finding a good piece is an essential skill for someone looking for a China-made guitar.

I'd highly recommend the Timbre pack. Played both Squiers and Timbres and the Timbres were definitely superior. Besides, Singapore's a small country. A one-time trip to Woodlands won't kill. ;)

agree. a guitar of any price can last forever unless you purposely go and smash it

Agreed with you. My Samick Valley Arts has been with me for over 10 years and have no problem. The only thing is that you will have to change the electronics stuffs like pot, pickup selector etc. as they will wear out after some time.

along the way, if find that it's also brand name related; eg: the chinese Ibanez Artcores (& the recent SZR) are consistent in terms of QC after playing many of the same models.

You can try the guitar and amp at Standard Value. I can assure you that you wun get lost at SV :)

With the Squier's price of $399, it is clear that you should look towards the Timbre SR200 package costing cheaper and having better reviews in the previous comments.

is there any shop who sells timbre in peninsula?...so that i can try first...if it suits me i'll get it from SV
