Beat The Rythm '09 Drum and Percussion Concert

A very special evening combining the talents of students from the Australian international school drum and percussion students performing on stage A mix of local and international artistes will be playing live on the stage at the Coral Dixon Theater (Australian international School). Beat the Rhythm is produced by Robert Nalin who is a Zildjian and Yamaha artiste. guest performers include Mohammed Noor, Serena Zhang, Riduan Zalani, Budi Man, Santosh Menon, and Mr. Tama Goh. the other artistes included are Paul Ponnudorai (vocals and guitar) who will perform 3 songs, the Jackson Twinz (vocals), Casey Subramaniam (bass), Shawn Letts (keyboards), and nicole Duffel (saxophone) will perform with Robert Nalin (drums) in his original song, ASIA. a special tribute to Michael Jackson will be performed in the finale.

On Wednesday night drumming students along with guest artists performed a concert titled “Beat the Rhythm”. The concert was a sell out, and from all feedback was considered a spectacular evening, a smorgasbord of rhythm, sound and energy. Performances were presented from South American percussionist Faizer Flores, Singaporean percussionist Joe V., leading Indian classical virtuoso Santosh Menon, popular rap and R&B group Parking Lot Pimp with guest vocalist, Fendi. Robert Nalin, our drumming tutor and musical producer of this show, worked magic for all to enjoy. Special thanks go to Mrs Lesley (Max) Anton, who was a fantastic asset as production manager.
