hi, i've played drums for about 4-5 years but i'm definitely more eager and willing to try out bassist positions. i've only picked up playing bass within this past year but i'm confident enough even though i've never played bass alongside a band before.
i listen to and play almost anything so long as it's nice (and playable by my current standards for bass, of course.). i can like things as heavy as bb, skillet, evanescence to top 40s and even country rock. i'll be slightly rejective about metal, which i used to play for quite a while on drums, since i would prefer to explore around different genres.
