Bass Practise

I have been recommended a Korg PX series looper/multifx for practise. I would like to know if there are any alternatives to this as I do not require the efx. My most basic requirement in making the decision is if the item contains basic preset drum tracks. Any other features would be a plus and im keeping my options open. Thanks in advance.

practise as in learning a bass riff? wouldnt the tascam bass trainer (google mp-bt1) be better?

A cheaper way is to go online and look for free drum beat, e.g. (http://andrewrudson.com/drummachine/main.php) and practice.

You can try using the online metronome also. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jR9to6lbqTY)
