Bass amp problem i'd really wanna solve

Hi guys ,as the title suggests,my bass amp has a problem which i really wanna get rid of. Every time i plug in my bass into the amp it will just make fuzzy sounds and then some other loud irritating noises which mentions like there's an electrical breakage somewhere. I just don't know how to describe it. When plugged into,there would be irritating noises which are fuzzy coming from the amp and not the bass. This also happens when the bass is plugged in but i haven't even pulled the strings. Can you guys please tell me how to get rid of this annoying fuzzing sound? thanks

Lardylard:Im pretty sure it's not my bass as the noise comes from the amp. And every time it gets plugged,the amp will make the fuzz-ing noise.

matthewchj: yep it is grounded, and yes it's a proper 3 pin plug

i had this sort of problem before , so i send it for repair . they told me it was something with the input being loose or something with the electronics , i can't remember . btw how sure that its not your bass ? maybe you have noisy pots ?

Hi, try spraying some contact cleaner in the jack, both at the amp and the bass. It should help.

does it go away when you touch your strings? touch, not pluck

Possibly could just be static. Is the amp grounded? Does it have a proper 3 pin plug? (3 pin plug, the top pin is made of metal and not plastic)
