Hey guys,

I found a guitar in my storeroom and it used to belong to my dad.
It's an old Horugel Guitar and google tells me it's cheap and old.

But i want to do something to it instead of leaving it there to gather dust!
It's in a really bad condition but heck that's where the challenge is.

The head is about to snap off anytime now..

Yes it may seem like a dumb idea..
But i have a long holiday ahead and i don't exactly want to throw this away as it probably stores some sentimental value to my dad.

What should i do with it? Ideas please! :p

P.s not a guitarist.

Hmmm Luthier? The one in Bukit Timah ar?
How much would it roughly cost for a repair job? Will they have to replace the whole neck?

I really dont feel like spending more than the guitar's actual worth (LOL)

Nah..a luthier is someone who repair guitars ;) Since you got the time, DIY :) Get some wood glue and a clamp. The charges to fix this probably about 100 bucks ;) You can check Guitar connection at Peninsula. Ask them to quote you.

Damn i look stupid. HAHA okay anyway.

Pins are the knobs to tighten/loosen/tune the strings right? If so, they're all intact..

Yeah i was thinking of DIY.. any specific brand of wood glue or normal super glue will do?

LOL SHIT LA.

ahhahaha but cant i just tie the ends into knots?
I dont think this guitar even came with bridge pins (may turn out to be a stupid statement).

okay got that.

So really is that all im gonna do? fix up the headstock via glue/bringing down to A LUTHIER, fit it with some classical strings and there's nothing much left to do huh..

Except to start playing it :P

NOT ANY!
you need the right type of glue to keep it in good shape.

i think there's special glue just for wood. or you could ask our some seniors for help. gr3y, edder and fgl. these are the 3 i know that build geetars. not too sure about the rest. but yeah, you could approach them and hope they help you.

maybe super glue?
since it's supposed to be able to stick down a superman?

or maybe... elephant glue :D

oh but dun try Mr.Muscle !
