Hello Softies, I am a rookie in playing guitar, I can play major chords and minor. but chords with barred i cannot play. i have a lot of problems with barred chords. T.T guys any advice? T.T thank you a lot!

It really just takes practice and more practice. If you know someone who can play guitar well ask them to check that you're doing it right.

The main problem I've noticed from teaching guitar is most people don't have enough strength in the index finger to press down across all the strings or they just can't take the pain. As you get better at it you will notice you do not need to exert on all 6 strings and can just touch certain points (usually 1st, 2nd and 6th strings) with your index finger slightly curved.

Press it hard until your fingers get used to it, how else are you going to build up your strength if you don't keep at it.
MAKE SURE EACH STRING RINGS OUT CLEARLY.

It depends on the radius of your fretboard too I think , Because I know my guitar has a flat fretboard , and no matter how hard I try to finger capo it.. I would never be able to fully strum all 6 strings without having one of them being dampened. :/
