Hi guys, does anybody know where i can get a finish for my bare maple fretboard. Spray-can nitro or poly will do just fine. I just cant seem to find them in Singapore. Its bare wood now. Anyone tried finishing with acrylic lacquer? Thanx alot guys..

Acrylic lacquer such as those we can find in hardwareshop spray cans works well.

But it's not as easy as wipe on danish oil, the wax just makes playing smoother. Gives it a very natural feel.

I'd recommend the wax tho it's not necessary.

You can get it from homefix, or other good hardware shops.
I remember seeing them at homefix at several of their outlets.

Look for edder's tread on his DIY thin line, he uses danish oil. I forgot if he waxed it or not.
It's less messy, you don't have to worry about the weather and getting dust in the finish.
