Here's another update! Our last slot for metal bands is still available, we're still evaluating about 3-4 bands at the moment, so the spot is open for now! We're looking specifically for Metal bands, and I mean any form of metal, metalcore, progressive metal, gothic metal, iron man, hulk, blah blah. Basically if you sound like A7X, August Burns Red, Nightwish, etc, we want YOU!

DELIVERANCE II APPLICATIONS HAVE COME TO AN END! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND RESPONSE!

Now that we've settled that, here's informing you folks that our doors are still wide open - we're planning for an event in January and February in 2013, though it's a long way off, we're already starting our engines! There's already a couple of bands, who due to the closure of Deliverance II applications, have been shortlisted for the January event.

As I've said in earlier posts, Neoteric Entertainment aims to promote local talents and provide them a platform to perform at. Thus far, we've received overwhelming response! Thank you for that! It's with a heavy heart that we've had to turn down a couple of applicants as they didn't meet the quality that Neoteric Entertainment is looking at. Though we are promoting local talent, we're always keeping a keen eye out for quality (boss is a control-freak, hope he isn't reading this).

Jokes aside, we're going to work extra hard this year, so that we hit the local scene hard in 2013, making changes and hopefully turning things around for the local music scene. We sincerely hope to continue receiving the amazing response and support we've gotten - without you, we're nothing.

Having said that, Neoteric Entertainment is working on a database for bands. All you have to do is register your interest. Don't worry, it's free. We will key in your band particulars into our database and that will help us a lot when we're looking for bands to perform for our events. With this database, we can easily create and manage events and plan ahead for future events. We're looking for bands of all genres, there is no discrimination in genres.

To register yourselves in our database, kindly send an e-mail to Neoteric.Entertainment@gmail.com and title it "Database Registration". As we are receiving dozens of emails, any other titles may be overlooked. Kindly stick to that title.

In the email, kindly provide us the following information, in this order:

1. Band Name
2. Genre
3. Band Biography (i.e. how long you've played, how you formed, etc.)
4. Names of all band members, along with roles and their respective ages. (Kindly bold the name of the leader for our reference)
5. Any sample of audio or video that you may have (If you do not have a performance video, provide a video of your jamming session)
6. Past experience in performing (i.e. location, year)
7. Contact info of representative (mobile number, e-mail address)
8. Website (i.e. Facebook Page, Myspace Profile, SoundCloud, Twitter, etc. Provide them all so we can contact you!)

We will be manually keying in the data into our database, which is currently in works, so do help us out by keeping things orderly.

If you are interested in performing for our January gig, kindly put "<Band Name> - January Event" and follow the format that I've provided above. In case you are interested in registering with us as well as our January event, send two separate e-mails and title them accordingly. Thanks!

More bands required for february and march event!

Dear Softies,

We're back! Settled a boat load of admin matters, met up with the wonderful bands and we're here once again to carry on our hunt for bands for future events!

First and foremost, here's the complete line-up and timing of the bands who will be appearing for Deliverance II:

6:00 pm - Hazel & Her Nuts
6:30 pm - Carnations
7:00 pm - Disco Hue
7:30 pm - Common Agony
8:00 pm - The Full Pledge Munkees
8:30 pm - Pretty Scar
9:00 pm - The Pathos Band
9:30 pm - Infinite Reaction
10:00 pm - 2 Halfs
10:30 pm - Little Fellas

The event has been pushed back by an hour to cater to everyone's busy schedule, but otherwise we're rarin' to go!

Do come by and show your support on the 5th of October, 6 pm, The Substation and come support the local talent!



Here's the important part; Neoteric Entertainment is looking to organize two events - one in February and one in March, next year. Of course, this time we'll try our best to obtain a weekend so that everyone can have a great time!

For now, we require plenty of bands, so do send in your application and interest to Neoteric.Entertainment@gmail.com! Do refer to our previous posts to know what exactly to include in your e-mail!

The date has yet to be decided, but we will try to confirm the location and the dates as soon as possible. In the mean time, I appeal to all the musicians in Singapore that are looking to perform to send in your information! Dear Softies,

With regards to the post on top, I'm here to provide another set of updates. Firstly, we're working on the database that's mentioned in the previous post. It will be a local database for now, and we've got plans to make it public as soon as the Alpha tests are over and we begin our Beta tests. By default, we're using the information we've received from bands that wish to sign up for our events and will upload them onto this database, with their permission, of course.

We would like for more bands to step forth and sign up with us to show your interest. As I've mentioned before, it is absolutely free. There's no contracts to sign or anything of that sorts. We're looking to make something of a Social Network that would be exclusive to Singapore, for now. It will be a powerful promotional tool for bands, as we will be arranging for them to turn it into an online biography of their band. We will upload YouTube video links and audio onto the site as well, so that people seeking bands just have to search and all the information is available there.

This is just the early phases of development, and we're hoping to turn it into a useful platform for bands, organizers and productions alike. For now, we really require the support in terms of content in order to make this work, so do send in your applications based on the instructions in the post that has been quoted.



The next update would be that we've confirmed the date for the March event; 9th of March 2013. Interested bands may sign up with us now to show their interests. The February event is still unconfirmed due to the lack in availability of the venues that we regularly haunt.

I will continually update this thread with regards to Neoteric Entertainment's activities, so do stay tuned!

Dear Softies,

I'm back again with some new updates.

First of all, The Pathos Band has decided that they will be unable to play for Deliverance II, therefore they have now been replaced with Stopgap, a new and upcoming Alternative Rock band. They sound pretty awesome, and we're stoked to hear them live!

Next up, our database is well underway, and we're deciding on a name. Thank you for all the emails we've received, and greedy as we might sound, we want more! Solo artists, bands, artists of all genres - everyone is welcome to join our database!

We'll be manually updating our database for now, but during Deliverance II, we will officially be launching it to the public. We're very excited to see the response of the local community, and we sincerely hope to make a difference in the local music scene. Of course, we cannot do anything without the help of the local community, the people have the most power. So once again, do send in your band information to us so that we can put it up in our database.

Also, don't worry, it's absolutely free. There's no charges involved, and we'll be communicating with the bands that register through email and update them as and when we have some news.

Next update: we'll be opening our application for the 9th March event in August, since it's a long way off! But we'll be accepting emails now as well, just that we'll take our time to shortlist bands, as our main focus will be on our database.

Dear Softies,

We've found ourselves very busy, mostly because we've been making some changes around the structure of the company. We're ramping up on recruitment this year, because we've got almost 10 events lined up for next year. And we do need some manpower for that.

We're hard at work on our database, at the same time, we are trying to spread our cause and message of making a change in the local music scene. Once again, thanks for the support thus far. We've received many e-mails from various genres, and we're really humbled by the sheer amount of talent that we actually have in Singapore. It's made us motivated to try even harder at our efforts.

Deliverance ii applications are now open again!

Dear Softies,

Due to completely unforeseen circumstances, The Full Pledge Munkees will not be able to perform for Deliverance II, therefore applications are once again...


OPEN!


That's right! Applications for Deliverance II has opened up again! We're looking for that one special band to fill up our LAST SLOT, which is timed at 8:00 pm on the 5th of October, Friday, 2012.

Applications will be kept open for a solid WEEK, and will close and will close on MONDAY, 16th July. Do send us your application, and don't forget to leave behind all your band details, and any video or song samples that you may have! We'll be spending the next two weeks narrowing down on our selection, and we'll let the chosen bands know!

Here's another update regarding Deliverance II:

3 bands have dropped out of Deliverance II (and we're kinda sad about it!), Disco Hue, Hazel & Her Nuts and Singapore Polytechnic Vocal Talents.

We're replacing them with 4 bands in total, and 2 of these bands have been confirmed while we're awaiting the response from the other 2. Names of the new bands will be announced once all 4 slots have been confirmed. Thank you for your support and do support our local talents by coming down to Deliverance II (5th of October, 2012) and supporting or applying for Felicity (8th of February, 2013)!
