This 2nd generation Baden D Style Guitar just came in. We all know that Baden Guitars is founded by TJ Baden the former Vice President Sales and Marketing of Taylor Guitars. Due the poor economic situation over the last 3 years. Baden is now closed and the new owner a UK company bought them over and they the Baden Guitars should show up very soon.
The Baden Guitars are made from the Ayer factory in vietnam by skill luthiers. So each guitar is singlehandedly hand built and the tops are handtune.
This D Style features a forward X Brace that is lightly scalloped as compared to A Style. The two tone bars below are lightly scalloped as compare to a heavily scalloped braced on the A Style.
This bracing of the D Style produces a more dry but with the emphasis on the fundenmental tone of the guitar with less overtone content. So in turn this D Style can take heavy strumming with loads of headroom. Aggresive strumming without any distorted tone. Its a loud sounding guitar with a balance bass response.
The fretboard radius is 14 inches but the saddle crown radius does not match it . So a new saddle was needed. This piece spots a sitka spruce top with hugh amount of silking and the indian rosewood is quartered and exhibits red/brown hue.
enjoy the video and listen to how it sounds.
Cheers Jarvis
