Badass II - Grooved or Ungrooved?

ordering one in with my fender... not sure of which one to get!!! the dude says both will fit the bass fine, just depends on whether i'd prefer to pay 35% more for a grooved one (save the hassle) or groove it myself...

Any experiences with the Badass II Grooved/Ungrooved?

I'll probably get someone with a proper toolkit to swap the bridge in for me anyway, haha...

get it grooved; i don't think it'll make that much difference in mass.

and you can DIY if it's the BAII bridge, just unscrew your existing bridge and screw the new one in. It's supposed to be a drop-in replacement for Fenders

yeah i'll find a friend with a good driver and i'll borrow that to do the job... i only have limited tools at home and i don't wanna accidentally enlarge the screw hole which might lead to a loose bridge =X

i'm clumsy. lol.

thanks! :D the grooved one looks quite edgy. nice. time to place the confirmation order... :D

Not too clear about that.....if my poor memory serves me correctly, the screws provided by Leo Quan are a tad longer than the stock ones.

I DIYed my Badass II, still sitting solidly on my '75 reissue.

I've got two Badass IIs, one grooved and one ungrooved.

Doesn't really make much of a difference, still does the job it was designed to do.

you need to groove the bridge piece slots! really! you can use a set if needle files - calculate the 'center' point and file away. the slot shold be slightly less than half of the file's width i.e the exact moment youstop filing away!
