Hi everyone,

i'm writing this to get your opinions on what i should do regarding this issue with epistage.

joined the school in nov or dec 2009. went for a few lessons, and one fine day, when i went for my lesson, i was told that the teacher is not there. it's not like i changed my slot or anything like that. i've been going at the same timing all the while! so i was quite surprised that the teacher wasnt there. the problem was eventually solved with me waiting for the teacher to rush down from god knows where. yeah, and the waiting time was longer than the lesson duration (which is 30mins).

then came feb. im a NSF, and i got some extras which made me unable to turn up for lessons for the whole of feb. over the phone, i was told by this lady (let's call her lady X), that ok i will return for lessons in march. im assuming this lady X has some kinda managerial role as im refered to her after talking to one of the staff. i was told by lady X tat my lesson would be on 6th of march, 1030am.

called up the school on the 5th of march, around 830pm, to confirm my lesson. the reply i got was "ok i will get back to you." so i waited and i received nth from them. not knowing if my lesson is still on, i just went ahead and headed down to the school on the 6th of march.(located at city hall). i reside in western singapore. when i got there, the school isnt even opened. nobody is there. so i called lady X, and she rejected my call TWICE. so i sent her an sms hoping that she can help me. but i receive no reply from her.

i had something on that day so i left the place at 1045am. at 1130am, the school called and asked me sth like "hi u called yesterday? anybody got back to u yet? so can i help u?" i explained to her and she said ok will check if i can have make up lesson on the same day at say 3pm or 4pm. WILL GET BACK TO ME AND LET ME KNOW.

finally received a call from them at 3pm that day, saying that "tomorrow, somebody will get back to you regarding your lessons."

on 7th march ( the day they r supposed to get back to me.) i received nth yet again. and till now, 18th march, not a single call from them.

im thinking of quitting this screwed up school but i still have got my deposit with them. thinking if im able to get it back from them. who in the world would want to learn from such a screwed up place?!?!?!

yes please please please advise!!!

i appreciate it!!! thank you!!!

1) Go down to the office personally, ask for explanation of whats going on and if wanna pull out from the course, will there be refund for the classes you have missed, due to their problems with the teaching staff. For the lessons you have missed, due to your extras, theres prolly nothing much to fight for. If still wanna continue lesson there, ask them to commit on what they can give you, if theres problems again(from them).

2) If everything fail, go here, http://www.case.org.sg/

anyway, just go back to them, personally, face to face is better then over the phone.

Speak to the school's director, senior manager or the key decision maker personally, meet them up if possible. Tell them what happened and their service and attitude towards customers is totally unacceptable. And work out a solution for both parties - either get a refund, or get the school to fully commit all the scheduled lessons with you, without exceptions. If they are still uncooperative, seek legal help like CASE or Small Claims Tribunal to get your money back.

On a side note...

Don't speak to employees and underlings, especially the irresponsible and bo-chap ones...you will be banging your head on the wall with no positive outcome. You may be in NS and they teach you to go through "proper channels". Well, screw that! In the civilian and business environment, you will never solve your problem or get what you want with that thinking. :)

Firstly, I don't think it's the fault of the service staff. The whole school sounds like 1 major cock up. I don't see this school staying around for very long with such big problems.
