I can't post the whole article here, but I'll just drop a few questions that SOFTies wanted to ask :) Stay tuned for updates!
*note: i haven't edited this interview, just so you guys can get the full replies first hand :)

SOME PEEPS ON FORUMS REALLY HATE YOU GUYS. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY TO THEM?
M.Shadows:
I think the biggest misconception people have about us is that they think we want to be a metal band when all we really want to do is play music - we don't really care what type of music it is. We have so many influences; we love pop, country, hip-hop, we love it all. If an artiste is good, we enjoy it. People are always going to have their own opinions, especially people on the Internet and Myspace, and they'll spit it all out. But that doesn't bother me. When I was a young kid, I had a stupid opinion all the time too. I was always calling other bands 'sellouts' but when I grew older, I realised I was just being childish. You either like a band or you don’t, and if you don’t, don’t listen to it! Who cares? I think kids need time to grow up a little bit. That’s human nature and life, you know? People are always going to try to tear you down for selling records and doing well, so it doesn’t really bother us at all. I don’t really give a f*ck.

Metal kids always want people to appreciate their music, but then as soon as a band gets big, they get pissed off and say they aren’t real metal anymore. It’s the same with punk-rock.

DO YOU THINK EMO MUSIC IS FOR PUSSIES?
M.SHADOWS:
(laughs) Well, there are probably some good emo bands out there though I’m not necessarily going to listen to them. But I don’t really have a problem with any type of music. To me, music is a form of self-expression and if they want to play that kind of music, it’s perfectly alright, you know? I respect anyone who puts their heart and soul into a song. I’m not even sure what the definition of emo music is! I hear people describe My Chemical Romance as emo, and I really think they’re a great band regardless of whatever genre they play.

IN THE SPIRIT OF HEAVEN & HELL VISITING OUR SUNNY SHORES SOON, WHICH DEAD ROCKSTAR, LIKE KURT COBAIN OR FREDDIE MERCURY, ARE YOU LIKELY TO SEE IN HEAVEN AND IN HELL?

THE REV:
"I think I'll be seeing them all in Hell!!"

IF YOU HAD TO VOTE FOR ONE MEMBER OF YOUR BAND TO BECOME THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, WHO WOULD IT BE?

M.SHADOWS: It’d definitely be Johnny Christ.
THE REV: He’d probably make pornography legal or something!
JOHNNY CHRIST: Oh man, I don’t actually think I’d make for a very good President. The Rev would probably be a better one because he’s a lot taller than me and can actually see over the podium.
M.SHADOWS: I think Johnny would be great because he doesn’t actually know what he’s doing, which isn’t very different from the President we have now (laughs). He’d be the best because he has some whacky ideas when he gets drunk. It’d be really funny to watch on TV!

wah Levan, you mean this are the questions our softies ask ah? Like whether they think emo music is for pussies, are they sellouts blah blah blah.. I feel damn ashamed man. So childish, diss this diss that, I think they are laughing behind our backs for us being so stupid. Ask something more substantial la.

i think those are good qns and they are very well answered. Gotta disagree abt the metal kids comment. Not all are like that mah.

P.S: I dont hate em coz theyre "sellouts". I just hate the vocals... and style. it annoys me when i accidentally hear or see them.

There are obviously more 'serious' questions asked of course, like the direction of the new album, life on tour, etc. I asked 20 questions in total, but I'm not allowed to post all of them cause I'd make the whole purpose of writing for LIME redundant if i cut and pasted it all here heh :) And anyways, I recall asking for more constructive questions before but getting a lot of anti-A&X replies in return hee hee

These are just some of the more light hearted ones. Actually they answered them with a lot of fun and laughter and are pretty nice guys because they were so sick of being asked the same questions on "What's your musical influences?" and "When did you start playing your instrument?" again and again :)

And the question is 'Do they think emo music is for pussies" is asking them the question if they, well, think emo music is for pussies, and not actually giving them our own opinion on it.

great..nice questions, nice answers.

but oh well, they are misinformed just like most of the mass. metal is music AND culture (or religion). u do something to taint the culture, of course some would love to kill u.

anyway, like the saying, whatever rocks ur boat :)
