Audio Power Line Filters

Hi guys,

Audiophiles often crave for a very clean AC supply from their mains and some invest in high grade audio power line filters to get a "clean" power source.

One cool product such as this seems to be real high-end and audiophile grade http://www.hifi.com.sg/products/powerdist/shunyata/guardian246.htm

I realised that some studios/gig arenas in singapore have rather poor power line conditions, probably due to extensive use of multiplugs etc. Does any of you have experience using power line filters to eliminate some of the noise problems we may face when powering up our amps, tube effects etc?

I play Hifi too but I am not a big fan of clean AC.

The link that you posted, I'm familiar with their products.
These are just distributor .. Not really AC line cleaner . This distributor will cost you ard $600-$1000 depends on the no. Of outlets.

I have seen some of my Hifi "siow" friends that pays $4000 for a power cable.

Do you use alot of distortion and overdrive when you play guitar? If you do that I don't think you need an AC line cleaner.

I think that shop can allow you to do home trial. Check with them.

hey stephen thanks for e reply,

yup i do use quite abit of distortion in my playing haha

but the main motivation to look for a clean AC filter is because my AC powered pedal often becomes very noisy when connected to multi-plug after multi-plug, especially on stage. Hence i was thinking whether there could be a way to filter the power to at least make it less noisy
