Andrew Sane is a five piece alternative rock band from Singapore. With Joel on vocals as the last addition to the band in late 2010, the band finally started crafting and writing music. Incorporating a blend of experimental and creative guitars together with calm but impactful melodies, Andrew Sane creates a sound scape of melodic pieces filled with emotionally driven rhythm section giving audiences surprises at every turn of each song. Lyrically, Andrew Sane explores into life experiences and films and with each tune, telling a different story that is expressive in hopes of connecting listeners to the band.
Surrounding the topics of love, loss and fear, Andrew Sane's main aim for the new single was to create a powerful emotive piece which engaged the audience to feel the lyrics and music in ways they have never imagined. Simply listening to their music was not enough as they wanted the audience to relate to it. Accompanied with a flavour of Classical influence in their writing, Andrew Sane took their 2nd single to greater heights by accompanying it with a full background of Classical instruments to drive the mix forward and also give it more presence and dimension. Quoting from the lyrics, "There's no running away, there's no waking up," the journey you will take through "Words" is one that everyone will relate to in some point of their life. According to the band, life experiences shaped the sound and structure of the song. After much development, the release was ready for the first ever music video shoot.
The music video shoot was done with loyal supporters and the band's close followers within a day's shoot and was released on 6th June 2012.
