The 100 Bands Festival is a community music festival curated by THE RSC, in collaboration with People’s Association. At this massive party, artists and music-lovers of all kinds gather to celebrate, listen to, learn about, and appreciate local music. Featuring original local music of a myriad genres, from rock to indie, electronic, and even some soul, there will be musical gems for everyone to discover.
Set in an old bus interchange, the festival aims to spread local music to a greater Singaporean community within an urban and unconventional setting. The music is not all, however. Festival-goers will also be able to peruse and purchase the work of local designers and artists, as well as band merchandise, through various booths set up by the likes of Straits Records, Canopus, Dangerous Goods, and Dunce Distro. There will also 3 part series of discussions curated by SGMUSO.
There is creativity in Singapore yet——more than we’ve ever known, and more than we give ourselves credit for. Join us in the first 3 weekends of June at Old Hougang South Bus Interchange (Kovan Hub, 209 Hougang Street 21) for the biggest local music festival our city has ever seen.
Free admission.
