Sound wise it's high gain, that's for sure. It does the job for it's price though, although if I were you, I wouldn't get this pedal. Abit muddy for a dist unit.

Contour, if I can remember what it does, is the amount of either mid or treble you imput in your sound.

does it handle lower gain settings well? and so the contour is like just another tone knob??
