Concave Scream
www.concavescream.com
One of the most well-known veteran bands on the local music scene, Concave Scream has been in continuous existence since 1994. Since their founding, they have released four albums, the last of which is titled “Horizons”.
A more mature piece of work musically, the album retains the signature Concave Scream sound that has endeared the band to a devoted group of fans, mixing melancholic moods with an evocative sense of hopefulness. A sound that looks earnestly forward, even with the occasional emotive glance across the shoulder.
In its 12 years of existence, Concave Scream has been through numerous ups and downs. Yet their hopes and wishes remain deceptively straightforward, uncomplicated and crystal clear - that people should continue to support and believe in local music; and that local bands should strive to believe in themselves and just keep having a go at it -- thoughts that they so aptly embody.
