yo! I always remember this jam of the synth superstars,
saw it when I was a kid in 1985.

actually I posted it last year before YouTube got bought over:

but where is Thomas Dolby now?

the only last solid performance he gave was at
Roger Waters' THE WALL concert playing a solid
lead synth solo at the end of 'Another brick on the wall...pt2'

i am! haha. actually, been wondering like...u know how there r those guitar/drum solo battles, kinda thing? is there anything like that for keyboardists? would be cool to have a gathering n like, trade solos, etc. just to see where i stand at least, among others. n it'll be real fun lah, n a good learning experience, don't u think so? haha.

looks like it's a Roland TB303

No need for any more controversy. Read Thomas Dolby's 2007-02-09 blog entry on his site (wish YouTube would allow me to give a URL). It is indeed mimed. The peformers arranged and recorded the backing track the day before.

Thomas Dolby was touring with BT up till Dec last year. BT's promoting his "This Binary Universe Album".
