Apogee One User Anyone?

Hi there SOFTies,

Would like to know anyone using Apogee One? Is it good compared to interface like Saffire 6, etc? Cos i'm considering buying the Apogee One but need opinions from you guys here. As I trust here more.. =) Hope to hear from you guys! Thanks!!

anything from apogee is always trustworthy.. comparing to products from focusrite.. i read somplace the chip they use on saffire range and apogee are the same, Apogee One pre amp and pre amps on focusrite are similar quality too. I say go for it. on top of it all you get the built in condenser mic. Which is exceptional i heard.

Lol, would you believe me if I said Apogee sucked?
Bad drivers, intermittent clicks and pops, to top that off, fragile construction?

One lacks what big brother Ensemble and Symphony systems have. Dithering algorithms, UV22HR, super high sampling frequencies.
However, most can live without them.

It's a winner in it's line alright; especially with Logic as companion.

I remember I come across a blind test between Duet and Saffire Pro. There are two clip record sample. Many of them happen to choose Saffire Pro clip on blind test. For me, I never like break out cables cos I alway DIY my cable. So lower series of Apogee, I never like them. Currently my interface is Saffire Pro 14.
