I saw the web site.... and apparently they swear by it.... its like a soft case but protection of a hardcase.

How true it this.... anyone out there used them before?

model:?
how long you've been using them:?

Worth the money?

hey there,

I'm currently using the G80 Mono case for electric guitars and i must say it's a well built piece of gear. I have peace of mind when i bring my guit around, even when it experiences bumps, i'm not worried.

Its a worthwhile investment imo.

You could always go down to city music and have a look see i guess. Get a feel of it before committing to buy?

Got mine for almost $200 but I think its very worth the cash especially if your guitar costs more than $200.

my guitar has never felt so secure before.. but it fits weirdly in the monocase tho, cause its an iceman.

Users of Mono gigbags swear by it.

I've yet to encounter any problems with my current gigbags. But if i ever do, i would probably get a Mono. Hehehe.

well, as far as cases go (and i've not tried many to be honest), it's pretty light for its construction and build. Like i said earlier, if you really keen on buying, suggest you just head down and try it out. Gives you a better idea of what to expect.

How's the weight? Is it bulky / heavy or surprisingly light?

VERY true indeed.... weight is definitely a factor, Thats y i'm considering getting a Mono bag, cuz it seem to be lighter then my hardcase..... and trust me.... carrying a hardcase around in the mrt and stuff isn't really fun.... ur fingers get rather tired after a long walk. by the time u reach the studio, u damm sian already.

i own a rockbag.... YES... they are really well padded... but they also weight a tonne. hahaha so are this mono bags lighter then my rockbag?

i personally find mono case have very good protection. the only thing which i dont really like is that it bounce quite abit when walking. it gets my vote =)

What do you mean by "bounce quite a bit when walking"?

Khaos is right though. Back then when I was carrying my Epiphone SG guitar in the hardcase, it's no joke.

I ride my bike with my mono case strapped to my back at 130km/h every week for the past few months, yea I think I can say its tough

whitestrat-Yes city music do carry the dual cases although the prices r pretty steep....if i remember correctly it is abt $100+ bucks more than the single cases.

I went to citymusic recently and i must say the mono cases r really well built in almost every expect including the materials used. But the prices r kinda steep imo.....i have also heard great reviews on red dot music gigbags which blackwoods carry and they r really good too after seeing them myself and they r cheaper, maybe u can checked them out too before deciding what to get.
