Anyone tried a PODxT live?

i've got one. goes for about 600. it comes along with amp modulations, stomboxes (tube screamer to DDs). plus you get to download patches and save it on your podxtlive to suit your own tone taste or to emulate the tones of different songs. highly recommended and LOL slyvester sim uses it too. hahaha

heya warlord, i've got one too. upgraded with the metal shop expansion pack. great stuff. vital for my recordings. can't live without it really! hehe.
makes recording a breeze. :)

How much are the expansion packs?
About the recording..will I waste money then If i buy a firewire interface? Or how does the recording work...cheers!
And 600 is good!

I want a pod too ... I think it's really good Warlord, would strongly recommend it ... But for 600 dollars, you might also want to check out your amp options ..

Very happy with my amp. And if I get one of these, I'm going right into the PA at gigs anyway!

i agree the bean version is good if you don't really use the wah. the live is really big and heavy. also trouble some for travelling...

the metal shop expansion pack is $49USD. am thoroughly satisfied. i upgraded the firmware to version 3 recently with some new amps and fx but haven't tried them yet.

for recording, it goes by USB, so i doubt a firewire interface will be much use. and with the included guitarport, makes recording much easier. no need to bend down and change settings, its all a click away...:)

cheers

Wow..the bass expansion pack looks interesting!

I've not had much luck with my podxt and USB, the latency seems to be noticable enough to be annoying. I am getting better results through the analog ins on a firewire interface, which I need anyway for Mic inputs.

Sound wise, this baby beats every other multi-fx hands down. Very authentic sounding modelling, I use the bean (got it when it first came out so mine's pretty beat) to gig here in Sydney, even the most hardcore valvophiles find it hard to tell it's not a real valve amp.

With firmware V3 there's the one effect the PODxt's been missing: the Digitech whammy! Instant Satriani and Vai-like shrieks...

I recommend getting the XTlive. Everything's conveniently set up...The bean takes so long to get everything set up on stage, and by the time u're good to go there's a labyrinthine mess of cables.

hmmmz comparing PodXT live and GT-8 ... which any one can says the diff .. pros and cons.. and btw.. how much does one GT-8 cost?
